Md. Magfi Reza Siddique

Magfi Reza Siddique is a regional leader from northern Bangladesh and a strategist specializing in community ownership, climate adaptation, disaster resilience, and rural enterprise ecosystem development. Educated at Utrecht University and Wageningen University in the Netherlands, he integrates global academic insight with grounded field practice. Since returning to Bangladesh in 2016, he has worked as an external strategist with local government bodies, advancing decentralized economic planning and institutional strengthening. He is currently engaged with the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogura and serves as a Sustainability Advisor to NCC Bank PLC and an External Advisor to the Bangladesh University of Professionals Research Centre (BRC), focusing on research project management, youth development, and policy advocacy. His work centers on cooperative governance reform, technology transfer, and market integration through leading rural cooperatives in the Teesta, Dharla, Tahirpur, and Patabuka regions. Rejecting donation-driven models, he promotes enterprise-led transformation rooted in Bangladesh’s socio-economic history, collective regional spirit, and integrated social capital as sustainable mechanisms for structural change. Under his leadership, his research organization, Daahuk, was awarded South Asia's most prestigious academic recognition in the field of project management, the PMI South Asia Award 2023, in the "Contribution to the Community" category. In 2024, he was named one of the Top 15 Young Global Changers in the "Reimagine Business" category by the World Policy Forum. Recently, his work in Rajshahi received notable recognition when PMI Bangladesh awarded him the title of "Project Manager of the Year" in the social impact category for the ongoing intervention, "Global Representation of Rajshahi: Empowering Youth and Natives." As a project director with years of hands-on experience working closely with rural communities across Bangladesh, particularly farmers and boatmen in diverse regions, Mr. Siddique ensures that the interventions he leads are not only socially and economically viable but also deeply grounded in the local context and lived realities of the people.
